Aurora gets hit by the truth

What has opened my eyes with such a great force that it's so blindingly obvious, and so tragically true? People are not what they seem. You cannot trust many of them. 

 There's a proverb that says you will be able to count your closest friends on one hand- whichever crumby old man said that is entirely correct.

I think I would rather be friends with paintings and sculptures; people suck.
